Electromyographic Findings of Myositis

Abstract

|
Diagnosis of myositis is very difficult because of its pleomorphic clinical features and its similarities of clinical symptomes and courses with other neuromuscular diseases.
Therefore, erroneous diagnosis may often occur and miss the opportunity of early treatment.
In two cases of myositis, the electromyographic findings were demonstrated and on the diagnostic value of the electromyography in myositis was discussed.
It is very probable to diagnose the myositis, when the., fibrillationspotential in resting muscles and myogenic muster in contracting muscles are found in electromyography.
